HTC Desire AMOLED or SLCD

Hi, I have an HTC Desire phone. Anyway to find out if its using a AMOLED or SLCD screen?

Previously had Orange San Francisco - input *983*24474636# into the phone dialer and it gives screen type and manafacturer. Anything similar with HTC?

You should be able to tell by looking in all honesty. AMOLED blacks are black, LCD blacks have a bit of backlight bleed.

Look on YouTube for comparisons.
