Hi,
I recently booked 10 nights on a campsite on the IOW for this our holiday in August. Having booked and paid in full online (£224.50) I have since recieved a phone message and an email saying that they made a mistake on their website and I should have been charged £85.50 more! They have given me the option to pay the rest or have a refund. I am wondering if this is legal after payment has already been made. I have yet to call them as obviously I don't want to pay the extra but don't want to cancel the booking either as it looks like a nice site. The other risk is being stuck on a horrible pitch if I do make a fuss! Anybody able to offer some advice please?

Might be an idea to post on The Consumer Rights Board.0

Unfortunately, yes, they can. They made you an offer of cancelling the contract if you didn't like the new terms.0

OP, did you receive an email confirming the booking, not just accepting the booking, before the recent email?
If you have a confirmation email, you may be in a better position.0
