hello i have a halifax maxi isa for many years i havent had any shares in there for a while i requested the a/c to be closed about 4 months ago , now they are sending me a bill for about £60 i expalinedto them i havent used the a/c for at least 4/5 years . they say i still have to pay is ths right?

If you dont cancel a contract, then you are still liable to pay any charges that exist on the contract.

There is an annual administration charge whether you use the account or not, as long as it is open. I don't think that you have any choice but to pay.0
