Evening all.

I've been asked if we can have a chat thread of our own, and it seems like a good idea to me :)

A good title would be nice. Any offerings?

So... over to you...

Surely it has to be The Dog and Duck?

    :)

Must admit my first thought was "The Cough up Cafe"...

(phew! Not a pretty win, in fact I don't reckon any of England's wins have been pretty, but a win all the same :))

Hello. I'm halibut, and I'm an alcoholic.

And so I do like The Dog and Duck.

    Or The Uppat Arms

May I ask the point of such a "chat thread" in a consumer rights forum ?

I like the idea. There are lots of regulars here and sometimes it's nice to chat about stuff other than consumer rights. One recent thread went off on a tangent talking about the FA Cup which was a pleasant diversion. I'm sure you can think of an "optimistic" reason ;)

Aren't there enough boards on this website for chatting about stuff?

I'm misnamed unfortunately "cynical old sod" wouldnt be allowed :D

Just curious as to the reason as I thought the arms was the chat thread. I can see it causing confusion with people asking for help in said chat thread and their pleas getting lost in the general chit chat.

Or Grumpy Old Git (me) :)

If it causes confusion, just plain doesn't work, or simply gets unused then it can be closed or simply allowed to slip down the thread listing into obscurity. That's why I haven't made it a sticky.

I was asked for one, and see no reason not to try it. YMMV :)

I am alright for a fireside chat. Still, do you not think the Dog and Duck has a sense about it. Perhaps we should have a vote?
