    If you do get your cash back card, you could haggle with the dealer to not charge you the surcharge.

    I did this about 18 months ago on a £9k car.
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    Simply by ticking a box. It's called a digital, or electronic, signature. If you go through a dummy application online you'll see what I mean.
    The paper trail is not only to get your signature, but to verify the address being used is genuine.
    The CRA search, including Electoral Roll verification, does that.

    MBNA, Capital One, RBS, Natwest, Sygma (Silver & MyWorld), Barclaycard, even Vanquis.

    Next to no credit card lenders use paper signature forms any more.

    You may be interested to read the Electronic Signatures Directive 1999/93/EC and Electronic Signatures Regulations 2002 :o

    Been commonplace for YONKS.

    EDIT: Address Verification is done electronically via the Electoral Role.
