    Dear Kenshaz

I am very very sorry. I definitely should have got the name of the poster right. I hope you will forgive me. Maybe I had an extremely painful shoulder as I have right now which is why I must stop now.

    Hiya

I was also recently taken into a private room at my chemist, (I am 28), as they pharmacist wanted to ask me a few questions.

She asked me if I was aware that the doctor has prescribed steroids - the doctor had not told me this, so I was not aware.

She asked me if if I was pregnant, or trying to get pregnant (again, something my doctor had failed to ask me)

Finally, she asked me if I had ever taken any anti-depressants or other medication for phsychological conditions. I had.

Despite the doctor having my medical notes in front of him, he had failed to spot that the medication he had prescribed for MY SPRAIN could actually cause long term neurological damage.

I think sometimes pharmacists are forced to ask questions to cover for the incompetance of our GPs.

The Chemists today are more like storemen/storewomen. Every thing comes ready packed.

One of them and two of those.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Seems to speak of responsibility and conscientiousness on the part of the pharmacy, that should be the first thing to come to mind, how they do it second.
Sorry my posts so long - not time write shorter ones.

Totally agree, not forgetting that the Pharmacist might have to give advice regarding a medical condition and conduct an MUR.(I put that in because I have just learnt on this thread what it is and means)

More often than not, I am questioned by the farmacist when I collect medication. I do not take offence, I am very pleased to think they are looking out for my welfare.
