Need help finding fridge, freezer, microwave and other

I am moving into a new flat and it's pretty empty right now.
I don't have much cash so want to save as much as possible. I don't need state of the art appliances but want something that will last a few years. quality but cheaper on the price.
Been sorting out everything else so I'm making a list at the top of my head
fridge/freezer (slimline so it doesn't take up too much space)
microwave
washing machine and dryer (two in one as no garden)
kettle
toaster
ironing board
iron
cooker
I don't really want to spend more than £100 on each but I know for things like washing machine I am looking at a much bigger price tag.
I want to buy things over time so I suppose I would need a fridge/freezer and microwave, as I can hand wash or take things to the laundrette.
Really I'm stuck so can anyone help please.

Look in a supermarket for kettle, iron, toaster and microwave - they are usually cheaper there (my iron was £20 and is fine) which will leave you more to put towards your bigger appliances.
Enjoy your new nest

I would say its the other way round..have a look round the shops, find a couple you like (looks, feel, ease of use, features etc) note the model number and then look online.
Its cheeky, but thats what we ended up doing. I found
http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk
quite good for my larger appliances as they will pricematch anything else on the net as long as its available for delivery from the other place, just watch that what you want is also in stock at appliances online, as they mess and move delivery dates if not. If there are several items you may want to order over the phone, you may get a better discount (but dont be pressured to get any extended warantees while you are on the phone!).
Its free delivery and I found really good comms from them about delivery (via expert logistics) with a text and delivery window time.
I would advise you to avoid Jual Domestics, theres a thread on here somewhere, very poor service (but you can use them for a price match with Appliances online, if they have the item instock!):money:
Alternatively if money is too tight for those prices, join freecycle, you may find you can get a couple of items there as a tempory measure so you dont need to buy everything new altogether, then replace when you can.
I have also done this with smaller electrical items, looked at in currys/comet etc, then bought online, but as previous poster says, places like Tesco are very competative as well and worth a look!
In terms of brands, you will find that lots of brands are actually made by the same manufacturer anyway, If I can find the thread about that I'll do a link. Personally I have a beko firdge freezer in the garage, its brill and one of the only types that can work in a cold environment. My main integrated F/F is a baumatic, and I tend to stick with indeset for my washer and dishwasher, as they have usually lasted a while, Ikea for my oven and hob. Everyone will have a different opinion on which brand is best depending on their disasters and experience with customer service. I doubt you will get a general clear consensus about the 'best brand'.
I just ended up spending hours looking at online reviews for individual items, which was tedious but worth it when you could see some consistancy with feedback.0 -
Oh, one more thing, I personally would not get a washer/dryer combined, unless you dont have much washing. If I needed to wait for a whole cycle to wash then dry, I would never get all my washing done, if you have room for two appliances, you can save time as both can be on at the same time.0

try setting up a freegle (freecycle) account - its through the yahoo networks! Its a big help when it comes to things like appliances
6 debts down - 1 to go: just over £1000 though, soon soon....

I pay £17 to my Bank each month and this gives me extended warranty on any electrical goods I buy along with travel insurance, Boiler cover which I have used and Breakdown cover and a lot of other benefits. It is much cheaper than the in-store extended warranties.

Thank you for your help. I would go in store but I don't have much time because of work and getting the other things sorted like wallpaper, paint, and carpet/vinyl (carpet which is driving me mad mostly) leaves not much time to shop around and look at appliances so I'm doing so online whilst at work (quiet hours). I have joined freecycle and posted in a number of groups but unfortunately have had no replies.
I won't have much clothing to wash so having a 2 in 1 is fine. I doubt I'd have much space for two.0 -
I have found a Beko Fridge Freezer http://www.laskys.com/kitchen_and_home/refrigeration/fridge_freezers/beko_tda531w.html?cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Feed-_-Fridge_Freezers-_-506435&_%24ja=tsid:5824|cc:|prd:506435|cat:Kitchen+And+Home+%2F+Refrigeration+%2F+Fridge+Freezers+%2F+ which I have found under £200 (was more on Appliances Online so googled to find a better price).
I've never bought one before so reading the description, will I be able to find a better fridge for this price?0 -

You might have to wait a little bit, but try and keep checking as well, even if you dont get offered one, try and subscribe to the e-mails so that way when someone posts something that you are wanting, then you can try and get first dibs on it by being the first to e-mail - sometimes getting things for free means for having a bit of patience

Think you will beable to find others around that price, personally I would always have the fridge ontop and freezer under, as you go into your fridge more than freezer and you can see in the fridge better if its ontop, freezer drawers better at the bottom, you can pull them out....but thats personal choice. Also depends on what size you need, this is quite a small one.
Theres these with the fridge ontop, similar size..

...this still has same proportions to the one you linked
http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/product/T5039B-Lec-Fridge-Freezer-Black-21145.aspx
...this one is more of a 50/50 split
Most sites will have dimensions so you can check if it will fit in your space, its always best to check, sometimes smaller ones can be slightly wider to increase capacity without height.0
