As a prospective buyer, are there any other property advertising sites like zoopla? I am sure there must be, just looking to get people's opinions as to the best and/or most popular ones.
Thanks

Nobody likes zoopla. 99% of people with their heads screwed on use Rightmove with Property Bee Add On installed.0

I've had a look through RightMove.
What is this Property Bee Add On?0 -

I'm sure you are capable of Googling to find that. What's more important is having Firefox as your browser when using it. It won't work with IE or the others.
Basically, Property Bee allows you to see the sales history of a place, so you won't find it on Rightmove itself!

Google the street/town/area you're looking to buy in, with other keywords such as 'house for sale', 'flat for sale', etc and the popular ones will pop up at the top of the search.0 -
I've been told by several EAs that everybody is coming off Rightmove because they've just hiked the prices up. Not sure if this is just a local phenomenon?
I agree though, Zoopla is a terrible website.0 -
I quite like zoopla. it collects together in one place a lot of the property that is for sale all over the country and it is possible to search for places in the specific area that I am interested. It saves me from having to go round visiting all of the local estate agent shops. I can see for myself at any time of the day or night just what is currently for sale. It even tells you how much a property has been reduced by over the last few months and it also tells you the price that the property last sold for and when.0

Property bee is great.
I quite like mouseprice; I know it's not the most user friendly interface, but there is a lot of information there. I don't mind zoopla either.
I've been usung nestoria recently and findaproperty. Primelocation is another one. Propertybee works with a few sites other than rightmove, so it's worth browsing in firefox.
I'm also keeping an eye on ebay classified and our local online paper (a lot of private sales are in there) and I printed off a list of agencies in my local town and look at their websites as well (some of the smaller ones don't seem to have a prescence on rightmove)
None of it's working though; I'm still hating it! :rotfl: We have four viewings on Monday .
best of luck, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

This reads like a sales pitch. You're spamming the forum to raise Zoopla's profile.

I came here seeking advice on what are the best property advertising websites to use. So far I've had 'right move is good, zoopla is crap'.
Is that it?0 -
yes..in a nutshell...rightmove is the best...simple as thatIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
