Not to be trusted - you have been warned!!!!!!!
Yes thats what brokers do, they require a fee upfront to find a loan that doesn't exist yet people still hand over the money willy nilly.0 -
I went to a broker once, FantasyLoand4U they were called, they sorted me right out.
29k over 5 years with a rate of only 2.3% and I have CCJs, defaults, GAIN and fraud entries."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
An old(ish) thread seems to have been to resurrected, however...
Do you have a URL (https://www.) for them?
Is it this lot: http://www.loans4you.org.uk/?
If so, you would have given bank details as part of the application process.
They don't even appear to be a loan broker, forwarding applications to http://www.emergency-loans.org.uk/, whose T&Cs link points to ANOTHER loan broker, https://www.quiddiportal.com/Application/TermsAndConditions.aspx.
http://www.emergency-loans.org.uk/ doesn't appear to be covered by the Consumer Credit Licence metionioned in the T&Cs mentioned above.
These seedy loan brokers are like spiders at the centre of a web of deceit.0 -
These kinds of 'brokers' prey on people whose desperation to get a loan has overcome whatever common sense they may normally have.
I think they're much worse than the PDL companies - as disgusting as many of those are in practice, it is at least theoretically possible for them to be used legitimately. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
This has just made me feel physically sick! i have tried no end to get a loan to consolidate my debts. I am 21 have my car on finance and have a credit card and store card, my debts are not the most ridiculous of amounts but I was struggling to afford to live and have just given my details to Loans 4 u..as someone mentioned earlier about the fee i thought that wasn't really an issue, seen as though I have been declined elsewhere for the loan. They told me on apllying that I have been accepted and they will email me some paperwork to print out and sign. will this be a legitimate loan? I felt like the world had weight of the world had been lifted off my shulders when they said I had been accepted and now I feel like its crashing back down
someone please help me!

The most likely reason why you have been declined elsewhere because A you are at your credit limit or B your credit file is shot to pieces with holes from missed payments etc. Did it not occur to you that if you have been declined elsewhere where would loans 4 you find a loan from ?
Maybe write them a letter requesting the refund or you write it off.0 -

I would like to add my experience with Nationwide Loans 4U. Stupidly, I didn't read many reviews before dealing with them. After a telephone application, they guaranteed that they had a loan secured for me, which was great news as I was desperate for some financial help. They said that there was a £54.99 admin fee, which I didn't mind paying as they had already said I had a loan. Needless to say after paying the money, I did not receive the loan. I have been trying to get in contact with them for over week, I have sent numerous emails and have rung several times - each attempt has been ignored. I am in the process of trying to recover my money through my bank, I don't know how successful that will be and I will be reporting the company, but I urge anyone who is considering using this company to think twice. No matter how desperate you are, Nationwide Loans 4U is not the way to go as they WILL cause you more trouble and they WILL ignore you when you complain. It has been the most frustrating and upsetting experience. They are a truly awful company.0
