Passing all the checks and signing your signature don't mean nothing I am afraid.

Indeed, capital one ask you to sign the agreement online if its an approval, or if it's refer.

Their website will clearly state "Congratulations! Your application has been approved and your card will be with you in 7-10 working days" if approved instantly, otherwise it's gone to underwriting for a manual decision.

Could just as easily go one way or the other :o

Why is it so shocking that you got a card lulu?
Is your credit file any worse than mine is at present? I'm only private renting though but since i have been here in over a year I've not missed any payments on anything. Just hoping this might give me more of a chance.

Although not down with Vanqpis, the Crap1 Classic card has to be the easiest to get bar none, you could get one if you look and act vaugely humanoid.

The only other reason I know off would be NO credit history but they actively say they won't deal with you if that's the case.

Ah, Vanquis comes to save the day :rotfl:

One of those cards you just take out via Quidco, bag #25, and just leave it in a locked drawer never to see the light of day again :p
