Grattan catalogue printing error - E900 pink bargain!!!

My phone call from Freemans came today to let me know that i could'nt have the pink phone at £99.99...........although i could have the same phone at £149.99 if i wanted it. I declined their offer saying i wanted the phone at the catalogue price but inevitably she said no.....so i put the phone down on her rather rudely........oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained........good job i ordered one on the grattan catalogue then, maybe i will abit more luck on that one..............will keep you all informed..........

I just got a call from a really lovely young woman explaining about having to cancel......She said thank you to me as I was "really nice about it" she informed me that some people had been really rude to her.

What a sad show if that is the case, someone makes a mistake and prints the wrong price, the bigwigs decide that they can't sell the phone for that and the person that works in a call centre has the tough job of letting everyone know....and then people are rude to her over a decision she had nothing to do with....very sad

Had a phone call from Freemans, offered the package for 149.99, or the 6111 for 99.99. She said they have the E900 IN STOCK but not be able to honour it at 99.99 as the misprice was taken advantage by some people (she told me they were about to honour the price until some ordered 5 or more). Have my order cancelled in the end. It's a shame that some people spoiled it for the rest

I received my phone call earlier saying its now £150 so Ive cancelled. Do I have to send my free gift back too which I have already received.

Just received a call from a lady on an 0800 number telling me I can have the phone for £149, cancel it or could hear about alternatives.
I said the 2 customer service advisors I had spoken to when ordering & confirming a delivery date had told me they were aware of the misprint but that they were honouring this at £99 - her reply was;
'we have been in touch with trading standards and they have told us we are doing nothing wrong, we don't have to honour that price as it was a mis print' :eek:
Interesting. Not happy about it, wish I'd have called when I first saw the post, but I hesitated :rolleyes: Cancelled here too

Got my call today as well, guy was pretty pushy trying to get me to take the phone with the accesories pack.

Said no anyway. Nothing ventured nothing gained thanks for the original tip.

At least some people got them which is surprising to me still. Would be a real shame of the rest of us have missed out due the greedy few though

Been following this a few days ... same old problem a small number just get greedy, "hey I'll rip you off and make loads of money from Grattan stuff 'cos they've cocked up"

These guys have been around for years doing mail order, they know their "stuff" about trading long distance ... was never going to last ... there is just not the margin in mobile phones to continue sending them out at that price ... still pleased some people got them, bring on the next bargain!

I Ordeered 2 1 From Grattan On Phone And 1 From Freemans On Line For Me And 1 For Sister Pressie Grattan Refused Me On A Credit Check Phoned Freemans At First Sold Out And I Wouldnt Get Then Told New Stock Was Pending So I,m Hopefully Waiting For The Knock On The Door
