Hi all, have a flight booked to Canaries (which i hear are affected) 21st May one day after a strike day. I know this isnt a sure thing but it seems many strikes do go ahead! Anyway i was wondering....
We have booked with a tour op a package holiday so if the strikes go ahead where do we stand,,,we use insurance that comes with out bank so would that cover anything?!
Many thanks all!

My exact thoughts!!!!
I have read that they will not cancel anything untill dates are confirmed or untill strikes happen (surely its a bit late then?!)
But one of the friendly knowledgable folk will be along shortly to help us out

No of course not! I wasnt suggesting that, i meant that its going to be a bit late if they cancel on the day they start striking when everyone is already travelling to the airports.
I understand they are in a difficult situation as like you say they cannot just cancel flights just on the word that they MIGHT strike.
I've heard talks have failed so far and from previous strikes i remember them going ahead. Thats all i meant.

I'm due to fly out to Barcelona on the 19th April and back on the 24th. With strikes scheduled for 20th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, 25th looks like I may get out there but not home. Am pretty worried
