  • 've posted my scottish hamper for FIL who is Scottish mad but born and bred in Sunderland. I put in Baxters Haggis soup, Baxters Game soup, Jam, Salmon in Whiskey, Irn Bru mini, Dark choc tunnocks tea cakes, Cheese oatcakes, Oat & Honey biscuits, Ginger creams, tablet, macaroon, pink coconut ice, scottish fudge, jaffa bar and a chocolate mint (all made by Lees). Oh - and free shortbread thanks to the freebies board
    Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

    Thanks Chardonnay for reminding me about caramel logs and butteries.......mmmmmmm. I've got a trip back to Scotland beginning of next month for a week so will add these to my survival kit.

    Also just thought about Pan Drops.

    what about a scottish flag or stickers for a ?car.and im deff with the irn bru and the mccowans toffee-i live minutes from the factory.
    ginger wine -made from cordial ive only seen it in recent years in the local co-ops and u can also get a blackcurrant flavoured one

    Thanks for all these ideas...he's just had to tell me what he's got me for Christmas as we'd been invited to a posh night out on the same date. He's got the family tickets to see the Snowman stage show....i've seen it once before and love it so much, last time we went it was pre children so I'm so excited taking them too! I've got to make this hamper extra special now!

    My parents take their caravan up to Blair Drummond every autumn - Do the Lade Inn at Callender do gift vouchers if you ever go up to visit the area? Or tickets for the safari park?!

    That reminds me of when we at the museum in Glasgow, in the natural history department they had a haggis next to the other animals! Everyone was taking piccies of it. My two really believe it's a little animal now!
