Hi all,
I've just noticed they have charged me this below but don't know why as my 0% purchases ends in November
08/03/2011 08/03/2011 INTEREST CHARGED £26.70
I have a balance of £1900 or so and i missed one payment through my own stupidness which they charged me £12 for.
Anyone know why i'm getting charged interest? say's next months estimate is £27
Thanks.

By missing a payment you lose the promotion rate of 0%. You need to phone up and beg.0

What a joke, only reason i missed the payment was because i never received a email saying when my statement was due.
Do you think if i was to explain this to them they would do anything? failing that i'll just pay the whole lot off.
Well annoyed

They have for other people posting on here. Best approach seems to be to call customer loyalty on 0800 783 1116 and plead your case. Offering to set up a minimum payment DD seems to help sway them. What a joke, only reason i missed the payment was because i never received a email saying when my statement was due.

This is standard across the industry and will be stated in the T+Cs. Of course people seldom read them, myself included. But it's not just a 'missed payment', it's pretty serious for them. If you are not happy go elsewhere but your credit file is already marked. If you suspected you didn't have an email in a long time then you should have got in touch.0

If/when you ring, agree to set up a direct debit for the minimum amount, that way if you receive no email or you forget to make a payment in time, the payment will still be made. It may also be enough to convince MBNA you won't miss anymore payments.
TBH, whilst some might say it's in the T&C's and some might also say well we don't all read them all, this is one of the main points highlighted clearly when taking out a 0% offer and is not just hidden away in section 15, subsection 2, point A.0
