No, but I do sometimes wish they were still a few weeks old. You know when they were tiny and snuffly and just lay there being cute and cuddlesome. :) My two are both under 4 years old and they are all over the place - very active little people. Wouldn't swap them for all the tea in China. :)

I think it's only natural to feel that way. I certainly do about my 4 sometimes.

They cost a blooming fortune, appreciate nothing, and drive me absolutely insane!!! But who said life was supposed to be easy? Plus I am hoping that they will look after me when they are rich and I am old.

are you kidding, won't you go to an old peoples home like the rest of the population??

(sorry i am cynical, i am a gp and it upsets me greatly all the elderly people i see living alone because their kids are too busy

Yes - me - mine are aged 27 and 25 and not spoken to them for 3 years, saw them at a family wedding last year where I was totally ignored - apart from the eldest bashing into my shoulder without apology as she barged her way past me.

Can't find out why as they don't answer phone calls, texts, letters or me knocking on the eldest one's door - can't go to see the youngest as I have no address for her.

They have lots of time to stay in touch and go visit their father (my ex) as he is loaded and flashes the cash to them! Charming, really wish I hadn't bothered!

The vibe I get from my parent friends is that they love their kids but sometimes being a parent sucks.

Yes it does....and those are the times when your kids say having you as a parent sucks. I'm at the stage with 16yr old DS2 when my whole day turns to sunshine just because he speaks nicely to me rather than the usual sarcastic attitude he usually has!

Btw...I loved when I logged onto the forum that this thread was sitting immediately next to one all about vasectomy and sterilisation :rotfl:

I'm loving them as they're tired out from a party this morning. Bliss!

Im really lucky with my eldest as he is a really nice teenager and my daughter has nobody to fight with as there is an eight year gap between them. Iv seen parents who have children close in age and their tearing their hair out .
Im not saying it was always this easy as my daughter was a horror between the ages of two and four and I could have gladley strangled her. The day she started school was the best thing that could have happened as she soon calmed down.
