Agree with the previous poster, your being ripped off by around £4k.
Get your money back or ask for a reduction, remember you have a legal cooling off period as well so act fast !0 -
Who did you get this quote from? This works out at £3.06 per W/h!!!
I'm starting to regret putting down a deposit for a £14,000 system consisting of 16 panels/2.16kwh with Solatricity (although Kyocera panels sound better than average and they have a well-paid referral scheme that gives you £1000 per installation)
I just Ordered a 3.95Kw With Samsung Panels For 11,299 with a sunny beam from mep electrical
including vat or we could of had sharp panels totaling 3.92kw
we had 11 quotes todate0 -

Does it include everything like scaffolding. If it does then it's really a good price? Do u know if they schucu or schott panels??0 -
I think prices are coming down as a lot of people are now getting these systems fitted. Competition! Anyone charging more than £12k inc VAT, scaffolding and a remote monitor for a 3.885 or 3.92 is too expensive.
Shop around the potential savings mean year system pays for itself a year earlier if not more.0 -

it includes full install including scaffold install and mcs certificate
I called a few referances for the company and they also on face book
where they put pictures of installs on there site and people comment on them
if you google m.e.P electrical and face book you can see there page0 -
Glad i've just read all of this, i have just had a salesman round offering me the 3.92 system with kyocera panels ('which are definitely the best!!') and the cost was £23.5k, there was a £4k reduction if we agreed now.
i'm glad i didn't go for it.
i will wait for the inevitable sales call offering me a better discount. i now know i need to double check what make the inverter is.
thanks.

More and more firms are selling systems like 'double Glazing salesmen of yesteryear.
Doubtless if you agree to have your system available as a 'show house' you will get a further reduction.;)0 -

I'd take a different approach & classify the vendor as being untrustworthy and wouldn't risk placing my trust in them providing a decent quality support for their installations ....... best get some realistic & more 'honest' quotations under your belt before taking the plunge .....

I posted a warning about Solartricity on another thread here, do not use them. Under REAL rules they are not allowed to take more than 25% deposit with a further 25% paid 7 days before the install, balance on completion. Check their registration. I really cant understand people using these types of firms. That includes Tesco, M&S, BG, Glazing companies like Everest, Anglia. Where were they before FIT came in. You are allowed a 7day cooling off period, hope you get your money back.0
