in Techie Stuff
I was burgled a few weeks ago and one of the things taken was my laptop.. the police caught him and recovered my lappy which I got back today..... now........ the little bastid who stole it has put a password on it.. is there anyway around that without formatting??? I need to see if my work is still on there...... 2 years of it......... someone help pllllllllllleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

there is a linux boot disk (from a floppy) which allows you to wipe and/or change admin or other user passwords, will try and find the link

Yep, boot up the laptop from a CD with Ophcrack. This'll crack Windows passwords in no time at all, I've used it often and it works fine.0 -
This is the site (try the first 2 solutions) - dont blame me for the concequences - i have never used or attempted these methods, follow at your own risk, i'm sure youll be fine

it will boot into safemode but still asks for the password
