I ordered £150 worth of technical reports from a reliable company, they were posted on Feb 25th and only arrived this morning. Thanks Royal Mail!!

I'm still waiting for a couple of other online purchases to arrive.

and how was this £150 worth of goods sent?

    Custardy,

I can see from my own feedback that items sent 1st and 2nd class often arrive next day - all around the country.

Does it help if items are despatched from a major post office or a major post office within a major city:question:

Or is it just pure luck:question:

That brown parcel paper is RUBBISH!

I've had 8 ebay parcels arrive in the last couple of weeks, and every single one of them (whether squidgy or solid) was ripped or battered, even when taped at the corners!

The only issue I'm having is things sent as a consignment with parcel force keep turning up on separate days, even though they have "1 of 2" written on them!

All my RM things seem to turn up within a day or two after being posted.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I have no idea why people use it. Poly bags are so cheap, and self sealing, come in loads of sizes. May not be eco friendly, I don't really know, but they are hard to damage.
Re where you post. It should not matter for domestic mail at all. However, some areas have notable difficulty with recruitment. London is the prime example. Cleaning jobs pay more than RM, so they tend to get a mishmash of staff. A lot are recent immigrants who have language difficulties. They also have the biggest problem with theft.
When posting overseas, the transit times are "major centre to major centre", meaning cities with airports which carry mail.

It shouldnt but there are times it does
I dont know if its down to the PO having stuff ready for collection or what but it happens
We had posties 'pouching off' items to come back to the DO
one PO in particular always seemed to have items taking longer to get back
no real reason why from our end or for collections (spoke to the collections manager & driver) but it was a definite issue that was noticed
