Rabbit help please

My little boy had to be castrated when he started spraying everywhere (more of a problem as he is a houserabbit), and it seemed a bit unfair to leave him intact when he regularly tried to get frisky with my hand! It improves temperament, reduces aggression, and tbh if you want to pair him up it's a must. Otherwise he may harrass his partner and stress her out!0

Hi, Good to hear Spike is doing well. All rabbits, male or female should be neutered. Aside from health benefits from preventing cancer in older females, it also makes then much calmer, happier pets, as they stop being hormonal aggressive demons! Males will spray and hump everything in sight and females are just grumpy mares. If you are getting him done and are to bond him with a female, the best thing to do is get in touch with a local rescue, who will bond your buns for you, as it can be very scary trying to get them to live in harmony cos its not always love at first sight! They are lovely pets but not exactly the cuddly childrens pet people imagine, and they much prefer cuddles with all four feet on the ground rather than being picked up. If you google rabbit forums, you will find a wealth of info on these gorgeous, but unfortunately often neglected animals.0

Hope you get it all sorted, our little bunny just recently had an operation to remove a lump on its neck, nothing sinister....well apart from the bill which was £93.0

I'd definately get a vet to look at the lump as it sounds very sore for the poor bunny and unfortunately bunnies don't tolerate pain very well and can go off their food which will cause even bigger problems. Did you manage to take him in the end?0

See post #10 - He is doing fantastic, has really settled in and were just about too book his castration and then were going to rescue a female. Our children love him, and he does seem to love them! As soon as there in the garden he's rattling his hutch!
