I bought an item on Tuesday (collection only so agreed to pay cash on collection tomorrow). Have just received what looks like an automated email from ebay reminding me to pay for this item - 'if you've already made payment arrangements please disregard this reminder'. Is this something new?

I don't think the seller can do any thing other than send you an invoice or send you a personal message until 4 days after the item closed.
I received an automated email reminding me to give feedback a few weeks back.0 -
actually, I've just found out there is an option buried somewhere, sellers can opt out of these payment reminders (sent 48hrs after purchase).
It's not where a seller can see/amend other automated emails (at least those who use selling manager), so it can be missed.
If anyone needs it, it's in the account/site preferences/manage communication with buyers0
