Need Help choosing between BuyMobilePhones and CoolNewMobile
Hi there,
I need help in deciding buy a mobile phone 12month rental deal with cashback.
I need to decide between buying from Cool New Mobile or Buy Mobile Phones as I need a phone on T-mobile, virgin or O2, as I want to use the phone for making international calls (I know O2 dont allow 07744 calls anymore but I can use 0844 on O2)
I am looking at Motorola v3i on CNM and BMP on 12 months deal with 12 months free on t-mobile (relax 35).
I need the valuable opinion of the MSE`ers on:
1. To choose CNM or BMP (which is more likely to payout as per you) or wait till I get a good deal from other reputable compnies live E2save or CPW. I know BMP have reduced the time to send in the claims to 14 days now
2. Whether both these companies allow porting of number (from orange to T-mobile) without affecting the cashback)
3. Or is Mobileoutlet worth trying as i read many horroe stories about it?
Many thanks for looking in

1. I would personally say bmp are more reliable plus they now pay your cashbacks directly into your bank account.
2. I believe so but make sure you specify you will be doing this when you place your order.
3. dont bother with tmo"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

Many thanks.
Yes indeed I cannot see anywhere mentioned how long do they take to pay. And I have read in different posts that on the vouchers once you get them it is mentioned that you have to make the claim within 14 days (bit stiff I must say!!!!)

if you ring bmp on theyll tell you whatever you want to know - i would really recommend this - there's no point going into it blind. Their current cashback timing is 14 days from billing date which seems quite tight but if you have everything ready all you need to do is put the bill in the post and get to a postoffice (only real problem could be original bill coming to you extremely late or getting lost in post on its way to you). We've got 3 contracts with them and absolutely no cashback problems so far. They dont try to hide their terms or make it difficult for you - if you follow the rules you will get paid. I am thinking of taking out same contract as you with tmobile and so I phoned them the other day as their cashback terms have changed. They explained that cashback is paid strictly on original bills only, you cant resend a photocopy if it gets lost in the post (this is standard). Also, they confirmed that if you send recorded delivery it confirms they received it, but if that gets lost on the way to them then you have to take it up with royal mail as they cant pay out unless they receive the originals. Once youve sent it in and got your proof of delivery you can check its going ahead on their system by emailing their cashback mailbox - we got confirmationwithin about 3 days of mailing them. I sent my second claim in on 11 Oct and got an email on 17 nov to say it would be paid 22 nov and that i would see money in the account by 24th nov. their terms say dont harrass them til 56 days after they receive the claim so i am happy as they paid out (or rather i am hoping they will!!!) within 42 days into bank account.
We received our phones within a couple of days when we ordered as well as all the necessary paperwork BUT we did check everything meticulously when it came to make sure there would be no probs. they had registered phone for us. When you buy the phone online there's an option to keep your old number (which we didnt take up).
Customer services have also been good.
Have seen feedback on here for mobile outlet as being terrible.
Have noticed from cool new mobile that they have almost identical terms to phonebox direct including, £10 admin fee if you send your claim in too early plus no cashback queries can be answered after 10 days of buying the phone. If this is your first cashback contract you might prefer the reassurance of being able to ask someone what bill it is they want!!!
I'm phoning osps today to see if theyll price match buymobile phones as although they have bad feedback on here they are the only cashback company i have seen where a) you can send in a duplicate bill so if it gets lost in post you can resend it no probs and b) if you miss out on one cliam you can still claim all the other cashbacks0 -
Many thanks to all of you for your valuable suggestions.
I have had 2 cashback deals in the past... both of them were good. The last one with Link I have to send in the 3rd claim in May and the first was with Microlinemobiles which were also very good at paying up.
After reading all the comments n going through different posts I think I will go for CNM as it gives more time-- 30 days to send the claim
Thanks joe06, I saw your website in one of your earlier posts as well and i also found out out very useful info regarding making claims from CNM on of the forums whish I will give here
Spend sometime in preparing for the cashback claim. Some of the cashback terms can be very confusing like 120 days of connection / 4th month bill etc. Dont worry, MS Excel comes very handy to solve this problem. Here is what I have done.
Do one like this and you will never miss your cashback. Golden rule 1: Send your cashback claim by Recorded delivery and if the claim is huge, go for a special dlivery. The money spend on this is worth the hassle. Golden rule 2: Note down the deadline for each cashback claim and do everything you can to submit asap.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -

How did you manage to do that? There are 2 contracts from my house with buymobilephones.net, and now BMP refuses to pay one of them !!! On their T&C's, it states that the 12 month free deal is limited to only 1 in each household.
Because of my nasty experience, I would certainly go for CNM.0 -
I have got stung with bmp and lost out £500. All this because the paperwork arrived 3 days after the date for the first 4 months. This means I have lost the whole years chequeback!! I have spoken to them and have sent an email asking to reconsider and after 2 weeks still no reply. Now that they have their kick back from the network provider they don't seem to give a hoot for the customer. Any ideas on where I can take this?
My recommendation at this point is be wary of bmp, as now the T&C's give you only 14 days for the paperwork to arrive at their door. I would definitely not use them again!!0 -
Thanks for those comments. So I am going for CNM. At least they send the claim forms through the e-mail n there is no deadline like receiving the forms.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0

Just don't forget cashback - topcashback.co.uk or quidco.com.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0
