When you add it will go to the window to enter e-mail account detail ie the POP/SMTP server details email address and password etc.
Sounds like you have the 2 email accounts attached to the default Outlook account so you will also need to click on the Outlook and select Properties... click on email accounts... select View or Change Email accounts and the select and remove the account you want on the second profile.
thanks for the advice i think i'm understanding what i've got to do0 -
If you've created your 2nd profile, then ignore this post. It might be easier to create your 2nd profile as a COPY of the first one (then you can edit each individual profile...)If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

2 email accounts showing but at the top i don't see "view" what's listed is new - repair - change - set as default - remove
when i click on the 2nd email account then change i get a pop up box - change email account settings - incoming - outgoing mail server - account name - password etc0 -

You have already selected "View or Change existing e-mail accounts" if you can see the 2 accounts listed.
Before you remove the account make sure you note down the email account details if you haven't done so already ie POP/SMTP server, email and password etc.
One will be marked default... that one is probably the original e-mail account the other one is the new e-mail account which you want attached to the other profile. So you need to remove it in this profile... just click on the 2nd account to highlight it then click remove button.0 -

i haven't added / removed anything at this stage
i went into control panel / mail / show profiles /
2 profiles showing but i've changed the bullet from always use this profile to prompt for a profile to be used
i've opened ms outlook and have 2 profile options to choose from
have i done it all ok?
many many thanks for your time and patience0 -
Best thing to do is to set them up as IMAP connections. That way they stay on the server unless you delete them. This will give you the 2 separate accounts in one profile for Outlook.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

When you set an account up in Outlook you fill the fields in:
User Information
Your Name:
Email Address:
Server Information
Account Type (This is where you will have POP3, IMAP or HTTP)
Choose IMAP
Incoming Mail Server:
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
Login Information
User Name:
Password:
When you set the email up for POP3, just do the same but change POP3 for IMAP under account type.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -

Sounds like you are good to go. All you need to check is that when you select the Properties-E-mail accounts for each profile you only have one email account in each profile.0
