It should be as simple as going into Tools/Accounts and adding a new account with all the usual information.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
thanks
under tools/account setting / email it has 2 accounts but all incoming emails are going into one account the main default account.
i can send an email from either account but confused how i get incoming emails to go into the relevant account.0 -
It'll be one of the settings in the second account. I have 2 accounts in OE on my home machine and everything goes into separate accounts.
Are you using POP3 or IMAP?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Surely you're getting all mail in one account because when people send you email they use one email address? Or do you have 2 email addresses?
If you really do have 2 email addresses and mail for these all go into one account then one possiblity is that somebody has set an Outlook rule up to forward mail from one account to the other. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Ok can't say for sure if the same is for Vista and Windows7 since at present only have access to WindowsXP.
Click Start then Control panel... Expand objects to classic view if required and there should be a Mail icon... when you double click on this you should be able to create another profile.
When profile is created every time you start Outlook it will ask which one you wish to use. Unlike Windows Live Mail, Outlook will only let you work with one profile at a time.0 -

got as far as that and now have icon which has "mail set up outlook" then 3 tabs> email accounts / data files / show profiles0 -
Click on Show profiles
You will see the default mail profile called Outlook.
Add a new profile then if you select Properties you should be able to setup e-mail for that profile.
Don't forget to remove the 2nd e-mail account from the default Outlook profile and make sure the Prompt for profile radio button is selected.0 -

You can name the profile whatever you want I would name it with something that will remind you of the e-mail address for example "Johns Personal Mail" or "Work Email".
When you add it will go to the window to enter e-mail account detail ie the POP/SMTP server details email address and password etc.
Sounds like you have the 2 email accounts attached to the default Outlook account so you will also need to click on the Outlook and select Properties... click on email accounts... select View or Change Email accounts and the select and remove the account you want on the second profile.0
