    Strange one that!

You can try clearing your Internet cache & reversing the steps above to see if it (namely, 'stale' Internet cache) may have been causing the problem.

If you use a browser other than IE, please let me know. G

I'm glad you're saying that. I've had a problem with other websites as well. Could get there, open it, but couldn't open other link or links there. Somebody advised me to use Opera, but didn't do anything. I haven't tried Firefox. I even changed setting, still no success. I'll have a look now whether it's working or not.

    Hi GoofyGAT,

I noticed that none of the signatures or avatars are displayed. Do you think any of what you mentioned above would work?
    Thanks,

Clearing Internet cache is worth a try I suppose. But since you mentioned Opera didn't make a difference, I don't think it'll work. Give it a go anyway & tell us how it went. G

    Hi goofygat,

I did what you suggested, hard work though with extremely slow computer, but I think it's working. For some reason the pc is still kind of slow  .
I have another 2 questions/problems: a) I have 2 anti-virus programmes on my pc McAfee (free trial) and AVG 7.1 (free). Do I need both or one is just enough?
    b) my printer doesn't want to communicate with the pc ( ) therefore the printing fails all the time. Connection cables are insitu and I checked another plug. No difference.
Any idea how to solve these issues, please? It's getting on my nerves.

You only want one anti virus running at once as they will conflict with each other and slow your PC right down and possibly cause other problems. Unless you are thinking of buying McAfee, I would stick with AVG - but replace it with the latest version. See the AVG thread at the top of this board.

Thank you for your reply. I had McAfee before and just receantly downloaded free version, but will cancel it at the end of free period.
Any suugestion for my 'lazy' printer?

    Thanks,

Nikolai is right about having only one antivirus program installed.

Please start another thread about the printer/printing problems with an appropriate title.

A slow computer could be due to several reasons - it would help if you give us your system spec including OS for a start. G

I think you should just uninstall McAfee now, then update AVG. this may help with your printer problem
