Ideal stove/flue temperature

What is the best temperature range to keep my multifuel stove/flue operating at its most efficient.

    Are all you stove owners asleep.:D Just like to know what approx temperature to keep flue when my stove is lit.

    I think it may help people to give advice if you were to give the make and model of your stove. You may then get people with the same stove offering their advice.

    I presume you have a stove thermometer. I run my stove up to approx 500 to get it going real good and get the flue up to temp. I then close the vents and try to keep it in the " best operation" band of the stove thermometer. This usualy means around 320 - 400 degrees in my case and this seems to burn hot & clean. This is on dry seeasoned logs.
    On smokeless it seems happy to burn @ 300 - 350 ish and looks bright, burns around one Skuttle of brickettes per day 24/7.

    Hope this is of some use but your flue may draw differently and stove may perform differently to mine.
