EDF are driving me up the wall. Took the deal from ZATZAT where is I sign my Gas and Electricity up with them I recieve a £100 bonus on my account. However they are still taking direct debit payments.

Signed up online, and then I got an email to say I had a letter waiting for my on my online account, which I couldn't find. Emailed EDF and they replied saying they have taken my online account off and I need to sign up again.

Everytime I phone I wait for ages in the queue only to be told they are changing systems and can't deal with me and someone will call me back. The whole thing has been a joke!!

    Dear Doubledrop ,
In my case the £100 bonus is split £75 Electricity and I believe £25 Gas , and I have received my first statement (for electricity only) showing a £75 credit . Electric supply started 16/12/10 , first bill till 25/02/11

Try contacting them using the complaint procedure via e-mail, will save lots of phone waiting frustration.

They have to respond within a certain number of days for a complaint, 3 I think.

Maybe it takes a little bit longer to get a resolution but it can't be quite as bad as listening to piped music and how we are important to them!

Also, I have received my £75 welcome bonus and have been paid my £50 Quidco payment. These will go in some way in mitigating the costs of cancelling my EDF contract as soon as something better comes up!

You don't say when you actually switched? They say that they will pay the bonus within 90 days of you going on supply, that is all (i.e. so it should be credited by the time of your first bill). I've been on supply 6 weeks and nothing yet, others have reported getting it within a few weeks. Like everything else with EDF, it seems to be entirely random.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Switched Late Nov. Electric only, supplied by EDF from Dec 6.

    No £100 here either :(

I can log onto my account and they have taken two months of DDs so there is a credit balance (no bill yet) but that credit balance does not include the £100.

Other people have mentioned that the £100 is showing in their credit balance (on other threads).

I switched towards the end of November but whilst the Electricity switched within a month the Gas took until Mid February to switch so whilst I am "live on supply" I am still within the "90 days" period.

Why it took so long I will never know but ended up paying the leaving suppliers standard gas rates over a very cold December/January which was the last thing I needed !! :(

Have to say this switch has been a rollercoaster and a half with all the twists and turns which I won't go into.....

So you need to chase them up if over 90 days,
You started the switch 'late Nov' but went on supply 6/12? That does not seem right, it's usually a minimum of a month.

The £80 quidco paid today as well.
Am I one of the lucky few with both the £100 and £80?
