BT Option 2 Question

Hi
I have just upgraded to BT Option 2 with Norton Security.

Can I get rid of the Yahoo toolbar and still keep the Norton?
If so how?

Thanks in anticipation.

Just remove the yahoo toolbar from your add and remove programs menu mate.

    That should sort you out.

  • Hi Thanks for the reply - but when I go to Add/Remove I only see BT Yahoo Applications - so I'm worried that Norton is included in the programme - there isn't an option just for the toolbar.

Alternatively, can you tell me how to allow pop-ups? I've tried turning off the pop-up blocker but it doesn't help!

Is there a website I can find out about the BT Yahoo stuff?

In case you haven't already guessed I'm not really that clued up with techie stuff so a walkthrough would be 1st class.

    Thanks for your time.

    Crescendo,

Go to add/remove programs, click on BT Yahoo applications followed by change/remove. You'll be provided with the list of Yahoo applications.

I deleted the whole lot and use AVG anti-virus and Zonealarm as my firewall. Both are excellent, free and reputable programs. Norton is thorough but very slow. AVG and Zonealarm fit the bill for many users.
