Only problem with that is, if you want to fill your tank, you cannot, nobody knows exactly how much fuel it will need.;)

and who can afford to fill a tank these days?

Reminds me of the service manager that agreed to put a full tank of fuel in my Laguna as a gesture of goodwill - he wasn't pleased as the pump hit 60 litres and kept going :D

They are able to do that at a garage near me.You dont get any petrol in until you prepay in the garage.(they were having a lot of problems with people driving off without paying)You go in and pay for how much you want £20,£30 etc and it cuts off exactly on that figure.Dunno how it works but this garage isnt exactly ultra modern so I suspect any could do the same.
Mate of mine who goes to Florida a lot says that ALL the 'gas' stations out there work like that.

I try an avoid anywhere that dosen't allow me to pay at the pump., I don't want to sit in a queue at the pumps whilst people go in and get their weekly shopping before paying.

What I hate is people using pay at pump but paying in the kiosk...the local morrisons has 4 pumps set up to allow pay at pump but they allow you to pay in the shop and most people seem to do that by default....I wish they could just keep these 4 pumps for pay@pump and others for kiosk transactions...just my little 2cents

If all of the pumps are taken apart from the ones that also accept card payments and I need to buy something in the kiosk do you expect me to wait for another pump to become available? :rotfl:
