you owe 14k, you must not of paid for years then
Total debt not to Npower. Did you not read either the first or last posts?
"Sim", thankyou for the update with your good news. I'm so glad to hear that Consumer Focus have been able to help you through this difficult time / issue. It would have been absolutely disagraceful & utterly uncivilised if you had been forced into a PPM & then left without power or even worse been driven back to drink by totally unnecessary stress & unhelpful attitudes (supplier or others).
Best of luck for the future and some improvements in your life & circumstances0 -

Hiya,
Thanks for all your help. I'd never even heard of 'Consumer Focus' until you said!
At least I now have a few weeks breathing space, where I can concentrate on staying sober and sorting out my budgeting through the CCCS. (They're sending me a SOA after the phone call).
After all, I'm in this mess due to the depression and the drinking *cringe*.
I'm then going to try my utmost to pay my current bills on time, and work out the best way of dealing with the debts (still not 100% sure about going for the DRO as yet).
Fuel Direct will be a far better solution than the PPM, as nPower will still be getting their £3.25 per week towards the arrears, and I'll be paying for my current usage as I go along.
However, as you pointed out before, I now won't have the worry of not being able to get to the meter, to top the thing up!
Hopefully, nPower won't be adding on costs either.
I'm going to head back to the Debt Free Wannabe board and post another SOA, and start afresh now
Hope you're enjoying a relaxing sunny day where you are too. It's gorgeous here!
Thanks again,
