I started at 8:30 and no not meant to be working this long.........and don't get paid overtime. I think a meet needs to be organised soon. Something to look forward to rather than work and hospital..............sorry in rant mode

Long -unpaid - hours are sadly a part of society. There is a horrible cluture of "presenteeism" in some workplaces. You stay at work just to be seen, even if you have nothing to do.
I suppose my thoughts on this have been fashioned by the first "proper" job I had when my boss said we work 9 - 5 but if we finish early and there is no more work to do for the day we can go home.
I have done my share of extra hours and the working at home thing when it is "my" time. Difficult culture to break though.
Anyway I might be rambling now as I was up early yesterday to fly to London and got horribly delayed by the weather. I am too old for 19 hour days
No point in complaining though, I feel sorry for those who were hit by the hurricane and now have no home.
Hope everyone is gearing up for XmasWe all evolve - get on with it0 -
