Mutual support in central scotland?

Hello All,
I was going to post this on the scotland board but knew more people would see it here (hope you don't mind). Looking for someone who is in debt same as me and is looking for someone to moan to, cheer them up etc and vice versa. I've noticed a lot of people on here are from England or Wales but I'm sure there are more Scots on here than there seems to be. So if you fit the bill and are looking for a bit of mutual support while trying to become debt free please let me know.

Thanks :o

  • Hello Scots! I'm English but I live in Edinburgh now, so I think I'll join with you lot now, (I mean for debt and money saving discussions, not the football or rugby!).

  • unixgirl, my total debt is pretty similar to yours, its mostly student loan plus an overdraft approaching 2K. Am starting to make headway on the overdraft by stashing £150 a month in a savings account while the OD is at very low/no interest. When I have enough to pay off the OD I will either use the money to pay it off, or keep it in the savings account that pays more interest while the OD is at 0%. Things are harder than they should be though because am only temping part time until I find a real job! Income is about £740 a month till then and I haven't got any paid holidays or work over Christmas at the moment, but hopefully I'll have a full time well paid job by January. Anyway, good to meet you all, where are you all from?
