Online price incorrect

Hi,
I noticed some incorrectly priced golf clubs on a website a couple of days ago, looking like too good an opportunity to miss I purchased the item.
I proceeded to the checkout and paid for the goods on my credit card, I later receiced a confirmation email for the order.
Having not received the goods I checked my credit card and the money had been re-instated to my card, I then phoned the company to ask what the problem was, they basically laughed at me and told me that the price I purchased for on the site was incorrect (£40 instead of £400) and I must be having a laugh if I thought I was going to receive the goods.
Fair enough I was chancing my arm on an obvious mistake on their website but I was wondering what my consumer rights were in a situation like this. I have a print screen of the checkout confirmation and an email confirmation. I have not recevied any other communication from the website in question telling me the item was no longer for sale other than my phone call to them.
Hopefully somebody can let me know where I stand in a situation like this.

Not much of a hope to be honest, unless their T&Cs specifically state that you will get the goods if they take the payment.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I am no expert on this but where i work there is a small shop and we are always told we have to sell things at the advertised price, even if the price label is wrong and the item scans at a different price at the till we have to sell it for the price on the label.0

That's a different situation AND isn't actually legally correct anyway.
This is the shop owner's policy.
They have a choice - they can refuse to sell for the incorrect low price as long as they remove the goods from sale until the error has been rectified.
Big stores (Tesco etc) can do this as well, but they choose to do DTD etc as a marketing gimmick.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
If you read the Ts & Cs of the website it will say that no Contract is in place until the goods are dispatched.0
