We have a cash for clothes collection in Manchester0
-
I have been given a sack-full of good clothes, mainly jumpers, from a relative for me to dispose of, and I am now thinking of using one of the collection services and get some money for her.
I am looking for a cash for clothes company in my area of Bristol, and if I find one and use them then I can come back and let you know how I got on with them. I hope there's one here.0 -
I have used "rag a man" they came from Gloucester, I'm in Bristol, had to arrange collection. First time I had 12 black bags full , they pay .50p per kilo. Bloke comes with his van weighs it and gives you money there and then. All done in 4 minutes.
There is one in Fishponds( where I'm going to damp my next lot) Bottom of Lodge Causeway. I also spotted one by South mead hospital, they pay .60 if you drop it off.0 -

If you have a bag full of jumpers/sweaters you will likely get more money from them if you unravel them and sell the yarn for crafting.
Odds and sods of yarn go for far more than a 2nd hand jumper.0 -
Thanks for that suggestion, QuackQuackOops, but all of the jumpers and cardigans I had were machine made. And anyway, the time to unravel any hand-knitted garment would take far too long, I'm afraid.
I got only £5 for all of them. But it was better than getting nothing. The van man weighed it all and it just made 10kilo. I'll most likely do it again one day, after a long time!0 -

Wow only £5.
10kilo of yarn and you could have got ten times that.
Once you have unpicked an edge, it doesn't take long to unravel them and ball it up and you can do it with machine knitted things too.
I did realise after I posted though that your question was a couple of months or so old. I don't always thing to look at the dates lol0 -
That's ok, QQO. I said I'd get back on here to say how I got on so no sweat! Mm ... Sweaters and jumpers ... there's a joke in there somewhere ...?
Can't be bothered to unpick, I'm afraid, even though it could earn a bit.0 -
I use beaubou. It's pretty good for selling women's clothing, you have to live locally, as its like gumtree, where you post something and they come and collect it.0

Anyone know of any of these type of places near Sutton (Surrey)
Seem to be so many operators but cannot find any outlets/industrial units nearby. Rather just drive there and dump the stuff to be weighed than have someone collect.Where the !!!! has the Shrug gone!just doesn't cut it...:think::huh: and these don't come close
