Texting to St. Lucia?

Hi,

I'm trying to find out if I can send a text to St. Lucia. I have a Motorola V220 and am with Virgin. Just rung Virgin who say I can 'phone, but they don't know if I can send a text or not, so tried anyway using +77780 prefix (instead of 07780 code), but no idea if it's arrived there. Can anyone throw any light on this?

I take it that you trying to text a UK mobile roaming in St. Lucia.

If it's a UK mobile then just text as normal (i.e. 07780.. or +447780..), however success will depend on the UK network you trying to text having a roaming agreement with the St. Lucia network that supports text messages to/from the UK network. Simple!!

Do not text +77780... +7 is the country code for Russia!
