We've made some changes so that the debt isn't increasing, but it's not really going down yet either!!

I agree sometimes there's too much info given on here to do it all at once! All very helpful though.

I'll keep an eye on this with interest... and will indeed start writing down what I spend - food bill still need to come down some more although already half what it was!! ;)

  • Oh this sounds really useful for me!

So far I'm writing down all the money I withdraw, and I only pay with cash so that I know where I am, and if I don't have the money then I can't buy it.

It is overwhelming being a newbie here, but at the moment I'm so enthusiastic that I just want to join in everything!

sounds like you've made a great start, but by writing down what you are spending the withdrawn money on we will be able to identify our hot spot areas of spending (I suspect mine are comfort food and clothes, I will be interested to see by how much I overspend!). Welcome, and join us!

  • Hi

Great idea. Count me in. It's only been a couple of months since my lbm and some days I feel like I'm in control other days I feel really panicked that I'm losing it so any extra encouragement is certainly welcome.

I think once the initial burst of dfw, changing suppliers, spending diary, snowball, pigsback, quidco, ebay etc has gone, keeping the faith day to day can be a bit harder (particularly if you've got a long time till dfd)
