The google result below suggests that it's in their help files:-Help - 192.com

But you'll need to dig to find it.
On a different site it seems that once you find the right place they send you a pdf to print out, fill in, and send back - so I grabbed the link.

Which is all very well I guess. That information probably is readily available if you want to be bothered getting it. But sticking personal details on a 'come and find out personal details one stop shop!' site just to make money charging people to access it seems totally distasteful and irritating to me."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
That's the thing isn't it?
Such records may not be removeable from a government database, but this mob ain't government, or are they? Certainly the page below makes no such claim...

The odds are that they don't actually hold the information themselves - they just use software to grab the relevent information from the government database concerned and present it for you when you make a query. For a fee.
So they'd be right in saying that it can't be removed.
What's really at issue is them making your information available to anybody who pays for it... hmm...Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Hi Squeaky
Thanks for your further reply.
I have contacted them again regarding this and they have advised me that the records are provided by this company findmypast.com. They are now saying that I should make contact with them instead and ask for it to be removed.0 -
Good grief! It's like playing ring-a-ring of roses, innit?
Let us know how you get on.

BMD records are open to the public.
They'll also be on ancestry.co.uk.
And most public libraries hold the indexes!!
Anyone can view these records0 -
Hi,
I received this back from findmypast.com this morning:
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately we are unable to remove your birth record from our site as it is a public record.
These records are provided by the General Registers Office, if you require further details you will have to contact them directly.0 -
Anyone is entitled to obtain anyone's birth record. This is why birth certificates are not accepted as proof of identityOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Nope, Freddie is not listed. maybe because he says NO to the extended list on the electoral role.0
