Hi Just to make people aware the superdrug 5% off is a con and you end up paying more than the normal cost at the post office because the stamps are in a book! shrewdal

    Absolute rubbish!

Thank you for the reminder. Stamps are on the shopping list for tomorrow and should get us a few Tesco Clubcard points as well.

I bought 72 first class (and something else) today at superdrug. Total was over £30 so I received one of their £5 vouchers to spend next time. I thought it odd that I got this considering stamp purchases are usually excluded for these things.

Apparently I can spend it on anything - except stamps and baby milk.

    - went back again and bought 10 books of second class too. No discount but got a voucher. I guess 6 books of first and one book of second is enough for a voucher.

Try Tescos, Clintons, WHSmiths (the latter two I got some stamps from in the past week and should open in towns on Sunday).

Most SUPERDRUGs are open on a Sunday (10am-4pm) and still have 5% off 1st class - both "normal" and "LARGE"

Normal 1st in a 6 or 12 pack and LARGE first in a 4 pack

(2nd normal ONLY in a 12 pack but at "full" price" - no 5% discount)

But you can pay with a credit card in Superdrug

Alternatively, if you are or know a member of COSTCO or MAKRO

    COSTCO have packs of 60 (5 x 12) of 1st and 2nd ...

    at a discount of 6.5% on the 1st (£22.99 from £24.60)

    and 2.1% on the 2nd (£18.79 from £19.20)

    They also do 40 x LARGE 1st with 6.1% off (£24.79 from £26.40)

    MAKRO usually have similar offers.

Today is the last chance to buy stamps before the price goes up.

Looks like you can get them in lots of places other than post offices.
