Hi all,
Last Monday I had a Worcester Bosch 30CDI boiler fitted after removal of a Baxi back boiler and fire removed. Since then I have had a few problems.
First one was the next day when i had a small leak on one of my pipes which the engineer came back and fixed as he was still fitting an extra radiator on the upstairs landing.
Second one, when water is turned on, washing machine, shower etc I am now getting a clunk in my pipes.
Thirdly, when i switch the heating on the downstairs radiators are piping hot within 5 mins but upstairs take about an hr and a half to get warm. Do you think the radiators need balancing?
I have tried to call the engineer yesterday, no answer so text him and still no answer. How long do you think i should give him to reply as i dont want to seem like im pestering him either but i do want these problems fixed?
Also, the engineer left and hasnt filled in the paperwork for my warranty etc and I have still not received a certificate for the work completed.
Can anyone advise on what to do next?
Thank you for reading

Hi all,

Easily happens, no one is perfectSecond one, when water is turned on, washing machine, shower etc I am now getting a clunk in my pipes.
Possibly he has left a dead leg in the HW pipe work where he has taken the old HW cylinder outThirdly, when i switch the heating on the downstairs radiators are piping hot within 5 mins but upstairs take about an hr and a half to get warm. Do you think the radiators need balancing?
That would be my first though, unless there was an old anti-gravity valve on the heating circuit and it is now restricting the flow to upstairs.
Keep calling him and leaving voicemails and texting him0 -
Don't even think about paying him the final instalment until you have received the commissioning paperwork and had the snags resolved. No free lunch, and no free laptop

You should pester your engineer until you get the service you need!
In addition, he should have completed, signed and run through with you the Benchmark booklet, which demonstrates he has done a professional job in the first place. I suggest you get him back and ask him to sort this out ASAP - if he is interested in repeat business it is in his interest to do so!
Good luck.0
