Ok - just to correct the records, I checked my account and the points did go on, on the one where it was swiped 1st, which I had thought was odd
so looks like just my paranoia0 -

I think the cashiers are meant to swipe after the transaction - ie when the payment by card has been authorised or cash given. I think that those who swipe before may have been caught out when the customers card is declined. So in this instance not only will they have lost the fuel value but also the value of the nectar points.The man without a signature.0
