Thanks for your reply! I went on the 02 website and it shows calls at 99p per min to send, 99p per min to receive and 49p to text! I'll go back and check. Thanks again!0

We went to Lanzarote in October, and if you look on the O2 wedsite there is a tarriff called my Europe http://o2roaming.co.uk/ they told me that Lanzarote was not included, but it was because I used it. It cost 35p per minute with 1 minute a week free, and 1 text free. The week started from Sunday. It is free to join you just need to text them to join0

Since O2 is now owned by Telefonica and Lanzarote is Spanish then O2 would seem to be the choice........unless anyone knows differently?Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0

Just spoken to a very nice lady at 02. She has added the My Europe Bolt-On to my mobile for free (even though the website does not show Lanz as being covered by My Europe) so calls sent/rec charged at 35p per min and texts charged at 49p. Now I can let everyone at home, going to work, uni, college, know what a lovely time I'm having!
Thank you all for your help :T

You might also consider a Spanish SIM card. The ordinary tariffs are not so hot, but there are cheaper favourite number options, or Vodafone Spain's 60 for 1 minutes (40c a call), which could be used to call a calling card local access number
