So you pay board, contribute to the bills, and our ex, father of your child pays you regular maintenance? You can show that you go on holiday or weekends away with your daughter without him and you have started divorce proceedings. If the answer is yes to all of these, then clearly you will be able to justify that you are not a couple. If the answer is not, then why not?0

Why does the son not care for his mother? It is an unusual set up hence why being queried. Do you have a partner0

we are not married he just the father , he has mental issues claims DLA and incapacity so not fit enough hence that is why she got me to care.
i pay for my own shopping and pay towards the rent i have have my own storage and i dont need or want a penny from him as i get child tax credits.
so what am i suppose to live on if they say im a couple and i dont wanna be a couple i have no family now so cant move out that is why it made sense to be a living career too.
so if i cant claim income support can i still claim child tax credit and careers. that is fine but how do i fund myself to eat.
just cos we live in the same house does not mean im with him.0 -

Your child's father SHOULD be paying you maintenance for her. It isn't for the taxpayer to fund your lifestyle choices. :mad:Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Shouldn't be an option. You're not self supporting, you're relying on benefits to keep you, and so is he (and the other people you live with by the sounds of it). You shouldn't get more tax credits because he doesn't give you money!!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
