Santander 3.3%/3.5% Flexible ISA i3

That is in the general case - e.g. if you wanted to transfer to the Direct ISA.
The terms of the Flexible ISA clearly state that it is not possible to transfer into it.
This is what I find misleading with the Santander site. If you go to online application page (linky), and follow the Existing Santander Cash ISA link then you're sent to a page that does say you can transfer in existing Santander ISAs.0 -
I opened a Loyalty Flexible ISA on 17/3/2010 with £125. On 18/3/2010 I topped it up with another £4,975 and further with another £5,100 on 19/4/2010.
My online banking shows me that I was credited with £324.25 interest on 2/3/2011.
Can I open a Halifax Reward ISA and safely complete and send off the downloadable transfer form immediately requesting the transfer of all of it?0 -
Yes, you can transfer it now. Just download the form and send it off, or pick one up in a branch.0

OK thanks ... and I know it is only three days but I won't be penalised with a loss of interest? To be honest I was surprised to see that they seem already to have credited all the interest over two weeks before the anniversary date ... is that normal?0
-
Instant-access ISAs don't have a penalty for early withdrawal of funds - only fixed-term ISAs do. Anyway, your transfer will almost certainly take more than three days!
The ISA you opened pays interest annually after the close of business on March 1st, rather than on the anniversary of the account opening - that's why you received interest on March 2nd. The interest due up to the date the funds are transferred elsewhere will be calculated and added just before the funds are transferred to the new ISA provider.0 -
Have just transferred money from my santander into a Santander ISA online...it says its a dantander ISA (i6) is this the one at 3.00%. I have £2400 in it from beginnig of feb ?0

I am also in similar situation. I have used up all my ISA allowance this year.
I just called them today and the lady on the phone confirmed I could open the ISA with 0 balance and start funding it in April 6th.
She even offered me if I wanted to open it now ...Not sure that this is correct ... ok, the minimum deposit is £1, but other posters have indicated that it's possible to open with £0 and then add at least £1 at a later date.0 -
Santander is currently offering
2.8+0.5% = 3.3% but people who has a/c with Santander and pay min £1000 a month will get an additional of 0.2% to make it 3.5%.
So It is higher than AA ISA.
Another advantage it is a 2.8/3 % + BoE tracker, it is likely to go higher later this year.
It is a flexible so people could withdraw it anytime ..I just opened an AA ISA today after toying with the idea of the Santander (which I subsequently discounted because I didn't want to have to deal with Santander's appalling customer service).
AA has a higher rate than Santander, but it doesn't track BoE rates. However I figured that, seeing as there's no penalty for withdrawal, if rates do go up and a better deal comes along, then I can always transfer from the AA without any loss of interest.
The entire AA application process is online and you can choose to fund the ISA electronically from any bank account (which is the option that I chose, because I can't be arsed with posting antiquated cheques).0 -
Just to let everyone know about opening the Santander loyalty ISA early and then funding it on 6th April, I rang them today as I wanted to do just that and was told yes I could do that but that I would lose 1 months interest as the interest is added on the 12 month anniversary of opening.Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490

Same here, I've just done mine over the phone. It took 15 mins and a lot of recorded messages!
When asked did I want to fund it now, I said no.0
