And some more hugs all round everyone :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Try to ignore the negative comments, I am quite a sensitive little thing, and often take things to heart, but I guess sometimes people think its better to tell it straight. I often don't think it is meant that way, but doesn't stop the upset it brings. We are all of us human and none of us perfect, we just try to do the best we can. I always find that a little encouragement goes a long way for me. so try hard to pay this forward at all times.

Good luck to you and keep on truckin, every little bit helps.

    Best wishes Dollyx ;)

Well i think i'm turning my corner today, had a cry to my mum over the phone, then sat down and wrote my other half a little letter (i do that when im feeling particularly low- turned into almost a diary when i was on my CBT and anti-D's before i was pregnant!

I've done S0D all today! seemed an effort to make me and my little boy a sandwich earlier. Doesnt help that the suns gone in and its all grey and dismal outside when i planned on getting loads of washing out again! I'm sure i'll bounce back at some point, but i have one miserable little boy today! (is it just coincidence its 2 weeks ago today he had his jabs)

Can I just say that I don't think the vast majority on here mean to be negative.
If people are sensetive the typed word can look harsh at times.
Some people just want to hear what they want to hear & this too can look negative.

Thanks for htis. I have felt like this too, and tended to fixate on the negative comments nad over explain myself.

I also get offeneded when I don't get replies.

    Good luck

I'm quite blunt sometimes, there are times when I think its needed and there are times when its the tone that is read into what I write, not what I meant but it does come across as harsh.

I try to read my posts in DFW twice before I post it, just because of the vunerability of the noobs on this board.

What you guys have to remember is the amount of courage it takes to face up to your problems and post your SOA on a public site is enormous! Balls of Steel!! (or b00bs?) :D

Also please don't get too offended when you don't get replies quickly, its normally to do with the time of day... I hope you all become part of the community on here, there are several posters that try to make sure no nooby post goes without a reply in the first few minutes, even if that reply is 'welcome and hugs'...

    Well enough prattling from me...

    Welcome to DFW and :grouphug:

I felt that way too when I first came on here, so much so that it put me off, and I didnt long in for some time.. Maybe a year or so.. But then came back cause I was feeling more positive about things and was able to handle peoples negativity much easier.. Its only the minority though, most of us are nice!!

I quite agree about the written word - since approcx only 7% of communcation is the actual words used (38% voice tone/pitch and 55% non-verbal) it's easy to interperet the written word differently to how it had perhaps been intended.

Some people are quite blunt in posting, that may be how they are in real life, they might simply be trying to address a specific point, or perhaps they are not very quick typers, and thus can seem quite forthright in their posts.

Next time you see a post that seems harsh/negative, try reading it in several different tones/pitches and see what a difference that can make.
