NTL will only offer to connect you to a Freedom package if you live outside their cabled area. So if you have an NTL phone you have to pay £9.50 line rental and £12.50 for unlimited dial up (total £21.50) whereas if you are not in an NTL cabled area you pay BT £10.50 line rental and NTL £15.00 (a grand total of £3.50 more per month) - but get a £15 call credit each month.0
