Easyjet ID situation

Hello,

Does anyone know what ID is suitable for mainland flights. We are flying from Luton to Inverness.

I was under the impression an ID card could be used but now they have now been made redundant I don't know what is suitable.

My friend doesn't have a passport and he doesn't want to spend £70 on one just for a 4 day holiday.

According to Easyjet's web site, you only need photographic ID for a UK domestic flight, so a driving licence should suffice. Try showing a UK ID card first and see what they say. I'd be interested to know the result, given that I have one myself.

Thanks guys. I did try to look on the easyjet site but I'm on a rubbish smartphone in a traffic jam and it's painful waiting for the pages to load. :-)
