May I ask what made you think they were fake? was it confirmed? What was the content of the email so we can see if it was as bad as you thought or could perhaps put your mind a rest a little

What is the sellers feedback like?

Try a calm reply along the lines of "how can I be a theif if you have my money and my shoes", see if you can trick her into goading you about that in return, thus confirming receipt?
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!

I understood that if something is confirmed as fake, ebay ask the buyer to distroy the item rather than send it back, did ebay advise you to post it after you had proof it was fake?
  • The shoes were a very poor copy, not even leather so it was obvious they were fake.
The seller asked me to return them which I did by second class post, not having had to return anything before I did not know it should have been recorded delivery. Anyway they never arrived. I did open a dispute with ebay. I can deal with losing the £20 odd for them, but what I have a big problem with is the malicious message I was sent when I left negative feedback noting that the shoes were fake.
How do I send a copy of the message to ebay?
If I change my user ID can she track me down? She has threatened all sorts and I am afraid she will try to damage my account in some way.

As asked before what "exactly" has she threatened. From your other posts so far all we know is she called you a thief, sucker and a *insert swear word*

She can only damage your account if you are a seller as well. In which case you should block her asap. And it would be a good idea to have two separate accounts, one for buying and one for selling (one thing I learnt on this board....)

If the threats are serious enough I would report them to the police (e.g. threats of violence) if nothing else to have a record of it.

One action that has helped some people has been to respond to abusive emails through ebay, by copying and pasting the text and responding through the messaging system (calm and polite response). Then contacting ebay as they would now have a record.
  • send her email to ebay, I think there is a 'report' button at the bottom of the message, if it came through ebays message system. She will get an ebay slap!!
