    I just canceled online.

any chance you could enlighten me as to how you did it? i click on my account and the cancel option is there above the membership terms and conditions is that what you clicked too or have i missed a trick

i finally called them a few minutes ago and was on hold for ages before they played a message that basically said 'we're too busy to talk to you leave your name and number ' and we'll call back within 2 hours, yeah right they're gonna call me back this late at night?

well i called back, they didn't call me back after all surprise surprise

i explained that i was irritated that i signed up online but couldn't close it online, that they hadn't called me back and that i was very tired waiting up for their call that didn't come, then i told them my dvd was broken so i'm just gonna save up for a blu ray so no point in having the acct cuz that would be awhile

so she pushes me to lower it to 2 dvds a month!!

grrrrr what part of NO DVD player don't they understand... poor woman, i don't like getting grumpy with call center workers that i call (cold calls are fair game!) but i lost it when she said that :rotfl:

needless to say i became just as pushy and finally after 20 minutes on the phone managed to cancel. what a faff!

if the voucher doesn't come i'm gonna have to chew someone a new one methinks!

ok rant over! i'll try to go back to my regularly scheduled fairly laid back self now

does anyone know how late you have to wait at night so you can just cancel online vs having to call them? i really dislike how nosey they are about why you cancel and they can be pushy too which i'd prefer to avoid. i've always cancelled online in the past but even now at 22:15 on a saturday they're still giving me that message.. have they made it so you can ONLY cancel by phone?

I cancelled online last Sunday at 7am.

Prior to that I tried to cancel online mid-week around 9pm to no avail, they still wanted me to call them.

So I guess best bet is to try online first thing in the morning.

I just clicked on "Cancel Account", and them some options came up as to why I wanted to cancel, and if I'd go back to them at some point. I get the feeling there are only a few hours in the day that you can cancel online.
  • hi - first post so bear with me. I am trying to use the code for the voucher (LFAM15) but as I'm a previous customer they give me another code (COMEBACK) when registering. It's not clear whether I will still get the voucher. Any help available on this one please? Thanks

When did you sign up and cancel?
I'm on day 16 of my free trial (as is my dad) and we've both received nothing. I made sure we had 10 rentals on our lists and everything.
