Another NSd for us, yay the Spikes! We've had an emergency £12 cash since sending out letters to our creditors last week, and we haven't dipped into it once, I'm amazed. Nathaniel's salary and expenses get paid into the new account on Friday so we're starting afresh.
I did do one really stooopid thing though. I bought some bits on eBay and managed not to notice that the seller didn't take PayPal, really annoying as there's £21 in the PP account! Also very awkward as there's no money in the account til Friday and the cheque book only arrived today and we don't even have a debit card yet. Thank god for 100% positive feedback otherwise i would have looked really shifty :eek:If you can't be a good example, be a dire warning

I bought all mine from Ebay and were excellent value and never had any problems. These were for Beardies and regularly bought crickets and meal worms from them.

Don't go stressing yourself out about spending what you haven't got. Make that special dinner and show him you love him. Material things don't have to be reciprocated with more material things.
Have a lovely evening!
What a wonderful, intelligent, mature thing to say. I have to admit even now, every time someone does something nice for me or gives me a nice present, my first thought is: what can I buy them as thank you?
I'll try to remember your point LA, thank you

i went to asda as i had a few bits to pick up, but realised i was out of sugar/milk/hot chocolate/soy sauce and heaps of other longer term stuff. ended up spending £12.46, my biggest single food shop in ages! i fear my dfw skills are sliding...
on the positive side, the extra £10 n top of my normal budget was taken out of my 'emergency' pot so no credit or other budget type stuff used...
yeah i know it's a poor attempt at a silver lining but cest la vie!
Hey Lyns
Bad? Hmmmm not really sweetie! You have accrued many of these :A so a little bit of overspent is easily balanced out.
Besides, long term stuff sounds like very good MSE style of shopping to me :TLeason learnt :beer:0
