New E7even offer from today and it looks like a good one:

Special Offer valid until 28th February 2005!

Sign-up for an Annual or Biennial 512Kbps E7even Subscription and receive a free upgrade to 1Mbps*!!.

Sign-up for an Annual or Biennial 1Mbps E7even Subscription and receive a free upgrade to 2Mbps**!!.

Take a look at my [thread=5408]referrers board thread[/thread] for details on how you can save an extra tenner too!

Cheers
Mike

  • PlusNet are about to change their broadband service so that everybody will get the fastest connection that their exchange/line is capable of (which could be as much as 8Mb):
Sheffield-based PlusNet has confirmed that from April it will be trialling broadband DSL at speeds up to 8Mb as part of a wider pilot scheme announced by BT Wholesale two weeks ago.

The UK's former telecoms monopoly has already announced plans to deliver higher speeds for its wholesale ADSL products to meet what it described as "increasing demand for more bandwidth-hungry applications such as video".

Trials for the increased va-va-voom - which should support line speeds up to 8Mb "dependant on line characteristics" - are scheduled to begin in April ahead of a national roll-out beginning in the autumn.

PlusNet - which already works closely with BT following an agreement inked in December - is planning to offer free speed upgrades and a brand new product range.

"From April, all PlusNet customers will be able to take advantage of the increased speeds as they become available," said the ISP in a statement.

"Existing PlusNet customers will be able to upgrade free of charge to the maximum available DSL speed. The changes enable the ISP to determine its customers' actual speed setting, instead of this being set at BT's local exchange."

From April, PlusNet will be providing 8Mb from £14.99 a month although this will be subject to availability and usage conditions.

I suspect that others will follow, so the E7even offer might not be as attractive as it looks.

All Broadband providers are giving free upgrades, because BT have upgraded all the exchanges, so not such a big deal.

    I am with freedom2Surf with 2MB connection and 10GB/month for £19.99

They also do 50GB/month for £24.99 which is very hard to beat . :D

Suspect the OP just wants us to line his pockets with referrals. :D

I recommend e7even because they are very good (and a fair bit cheaper than the deals pointed out above - and also uncapped !). I make the offers even better as I split the referral fee and I make an effort to help people out with problems and questions too. I am hardly going to pay the bills on the odd tenner here and there (though I'll take the kids to see Magic Roundabout tomorrow on the ill-gotten gains!)

I'd be VERY interested in 2mb with a 10gig cap. I can't see £19.99 listed as a price on their website, would you happen to have a link?
  • look at the annual package (12 months contract) of 1mb. the 20GBP per month does not include 50GBP connection fee. Unless you take the 24 months contract.

When I joined them 6 months ago, they were offering free connection and I took the 6months package @ 512kbps fearing that they might go burst. Just before my contract expires, they offered me 7.50GBP per month for another 6 months which I gladly accept. Just worried I might moved to another place since I'm renting a room only

Awesome, thanks ever so much for that!
  • I understand the opening to the site says:

"Welcome to E7even, the lowest priced quality broadband service provider in the UK. From just £15.00 per month, you can have high-speed access to the Internet 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with no limitations or download restrictions.
The longer the contract you take out, the more you save!"
    etc....etc..

Is the service def uncapped with no P2P restrictions etc?
(I have a home network setup with up to 6 PC's connected, although I may never hit a 10Gb/pm limit I prefer not to worry)

I am with Pipex ATM no problems although this seems to be a great offer.
( I will call them tomorrow)

Although as stated in the terms if you choose annually you need to pay all 12 months up front  https://www.e7even.com/qa-payment.html
