My vets didn't give him a lamp shade thing either, luckily he hasn't really bothered with his stitches or he would be wearing my sons boxers lol.

Just an update on bob no balls - was poorly wednesday night and yesterday morning , ended up taking the collar off since bob has no neck (staffie thing) worked out the collar was sticking in his back when he sat up. So he had the boxer shorts on and has'nt even noticed his manhood is missing lol at the moment the two of them are playing

My dog had a buster collar when he had his bits removed, but as he was a weird shape he couldnt wear the collar. He was very long in the body, but with very short legs, so needed a deep collar because of the length of his back, but then it was so big he couldnt walk without tripping himself over.

So we used the 'pants' idea, which was recommended by our vets and it worked like a dream, he never licked his wound at all. SO dont think buster collars are ALWAYS the best idea.

OP - glad to hear your dogs ok.
